fishystik asked:
A few days ago, I was cutting a fish (I'm a fishmonger) for this woman (affluent, white) who was wearing a perfume I recognized. After ringing her up I pulled her aside and asked if she was wearing Neroli 36 by Le Labo (has sea salt + citrus notes) (bought a sample hoping sea salt + citrus + post-work dead fish stink = fish dinner) (it doesn't) (it's tiki bar bathroom). She told me I was spot on and gave me an entire bottle of it she had floating around in her (Chanel) purse.
As an aside. If you're an affluent white woman and your fishmonger wears your signature scent, what does that say about your taste? If you're a fishmonger and you realize you've been walking around smelling like an affluent white woman, do you have to rescind your union membership?
But I digress. All of this is to say: thank you for posting Fragrantica screenshots of Corpalium 2 years ago because that was the exact post that got me into fragrance. You got me a free Le Labo bottle

This is unbelievable….. what a beautiful world we live in
“where are the audio dramas made by women??”
“where are the audio dramas made by poc??”
they are here. they exist and they are plentiful. you just need to stop listening to the same show 3 shows made by white men on repeat. it is always so painfully clear to me the difference between people who are fans of Audio Drama as a medium and people who are fans of (insert big show here). When their chosen fixation fails to provide the representation that they claim to advocate for, they make up for it via diverse headcanons instead of listening to shows Made by marginalized communities.
expand your horizons. don’t just reblog posts with lists of shows made by marginalized communities, actually listen to those shows. talk about them on social media. the Big Shows don’t need more publicity, they will be popular forever. put your mouth and your support where you claim it is.
If you’re reading this and thinking it’s applicable to you – here’s some fantastic shows by people who aren’t cis-white-guys to get started with:
- The Gospel of Haven (@thegospelofhaven)
- Apollyon (@observerpix)
- The Holmwood Foundation (@theholmwoodfoundation)
- Remnants (@remnantspod)
- @totcoc0a’s own Soul Operator (@souloperatorpod)
would be remiss if i didn’t add the fantastic Hi Nay @hinaypod in the list!!!!

result: cannot account for the sheer amount of possible ways to alter the word jellyfish
conclusion: i have to see jellyfish now.
Once again, tumblr is not tiktok, tag properly.

Borrowed Wicked from the library, my beloved, and I have GOT to say that Ariana Grande fucking stole that show. She was absolutely perfect. She had me cackling and her lil mannerisms are so cute and popular gworl.
Cynthia Erivo was also perfect with her lil sideways smile and her brave face that made me cry TWICE! Holyshit broke my heart with her heart that she’s holding on the claws of her fingers godDAMN.
But ariana put her whole ass SELF into that role and took the silliness in stride and made it great.
Also Im not a fan of jeff goldblum he’s just so stiff and awkward but he was looser and great here than in previous movies.
Also Michelle Yeoh getting to be the bad guy?? She must have enjoyed that so I hope we get to see more evilness from her, lol.
Celebratory awards go to Pfannee and ShenShen because they were absolutely mean girling it UP. Hell yeah, I enjoyed their scenes a bunch too. The back and forth they have is chefs kiss, so funny.
Also props to the pan sexual fiyero hell yeah.
Alright. The detractions are quibbles since I KNOW (I KNOW) that this is based on the play which is very loosely, and that is being generous, on the book, my quibble. Is that it wasnt sexual enough. I think that was one of the big THINGS in the book, how raw and gritty things get. The underbelly of the town where Shiz is is supposed to compare to the glitz and glimmer of Oz. And sexuality is very much something that changes and grows up the characters.
All in all, I enjoyed it!
